Inside Sunridge Lodge
This luxury holiday accommodation is located in South Hams in Devon, the Lodge is actually a converted barn, spacious, warm, practical and very comfortable. Originally built over 200 years ago, now renovated and modernised,
it's still very much a traditional Devon dwelling, with stone walls, exposed beams and a solid oak and glass staircase leading to the bedrooms.
The rustic charm of the barn combined with the modern interiors make for a smart combination of atmosphere and ambience - a place you will feel relaxed in,
free from the worry and bother of neighbours and passers-by.
Sleeps 2-5
- 1 double bedroom & 1 open plan mezzanine bedroom with 2 single beds.
- 1 luxury bathroom with large drench shower, mood lighting & underfloor heating.
- State of the art kitchen with large glass gas hob, intergrated microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher and electric oven.
- Contemporary dining and living space with large glass fronted log burner & Underfloor Heating.
- Flat screen HD TVs with freeview, CD/DVD players & iPod docks in bedrooms and the living space.
- All bed linen & towels included.
- Locally sourced food hamper available on request.
The Sunridge standard holiday week is from Saturday to Saturday (this is flexible).
Short breaks are also available all year with a minimum of a 2 night stay.

Outside Sunridge Lodge
The lawns around the lodge are great for picnics and games and for the less active, in the spring and summer time, to sunbathe and relax in privacy.
There is a generous split level deck emerging from the lodge that hovers above the garden space and is perfect for dining/entertaining. The deck also leads to the upstairs bedrooms. To say you won't have any neighbours is
not strictly true because edging the lawns there is a shady wood teeming with wildlife, birds and badgers,
foxes and squirrels - this is their home too remember!
(Deck Coming 2010) Within the depths of the wood is a huge landing deck that surrounds an old tree, over 6 meters in length and hovering high above ground level. This is the perfect retreat from the overhead sun with a view of the lake through the trees. Why not sit in comfort and tranquility while you work away on your laptop, yes we have wireless internet access here too! And don't forget of course there is the fresh water fishing lake only 70 yards away. So go on, take part in one of the most popular sports in the country, we can even book you a private lesson with a local fisherman if you wish!
Is Sunridge Lodge for you?
If you're after a raucous time, with lots of modern amenities on hand, like amusement arcades, discos, nightclubs, and kebab shops, along with plenty of noise and
synthetic ice cream by the boatload, then Sunridge Lodge is not for you.
If you want a peaceful break, with activities, like walking (miles and miles of coast path and river trails to explore, not to mention Dartmoor, just 20 minutes away), cycling (Devon hosts one of the best cycling networks in England), fishing (in your pyjamas if you like, right outside your front door), sightseeing (a filmmakers paradise - you just can't beat the landscapes or the light), horse riding, (there are stables all around), painting (take your easel down to the creek at Newton Ferrers and paint the fishing boats and the wizened old fishermen watching the sunset over the harbour), cooking (our organic locally grown produce can transform any ordinary meal into a sublime experience - book yourself onto a nearby cookery course) or even gardening (there's a nursery on site at the Lodge and several large commercial growers in the area!) ...for the break that comes with peace of mind, this is it. You're guaranteed to have a great time...
